Books for W131
W131 is a college class that Bloomington South offers in conjunction with Indiana University. You will receive high school credit for the course as well as college credit, if you take the class for IU credit and pay the fees for course. The course involves much independent reading and thinking. It is important that you obtain your materials as soon as possible. My expectation is that you have your texts by the 3rd class meeting.
Because it is an IU course, you will need to purchase your texts from TIS bookstore. Recently the selected texts have had a price increase. You may purchase used texts, but ascertain that you have the appropriate editions because the content is vastly different.
You must purchase the following books:
Rosenwasser, David, and Jill Stephen. Writing Analytically. 4th edition. Boston, MA:
Thomson, 2006. $39.65 (2006 price)
Behrens, Laurence, and Leonard J. Rosen, eds. Writing and Reading Across the
Curriculum: Brief Edition. 2nd edition. New York: Pearson, 2005. $36.50
ISBN 0-321-39581-6
Please note the specific editions of the books. It is not acceptable to have any other edition.
