NHS will be having another blood drive on Thursday, February 16.  Volunteers are needed to help with lunch signups during the week of February 6-10 and February 13-15.  Members need to order their honor cords for $8.00, to be paid in cash or check as soon as possible.  Money can be turned in to Leslie Kim or Mrs. McGregor.  Please make checks payable to Bloomington High School South. The following NHS members can pick up front lot parking passes in the bookstore! NHS will be having a bake sale Saturday, November 12 at the performances of The Music Man to raise money for Holiday Child.  Students with last names beginning with M-Z are needed to bring food items to sell.  Suggested items include cookies, brownies, cupcakes, muffins, and rice crispy treats.  All items should be individually wrapped (small cookies can be wrapped 2 or 3 to a package).  Homemade treats are wonderful, but bakery items are fine.  Label your container if it is one you’d like to have back.  Bring all goodies to the Main Office on the Friday morning before the appropriate date, or make other arrangements with Mrs. McGregor. In order to be successful EVERYONE must participate.  Last year NHS raised enough money to brighten the holiday season for 10 children in need!  Volunteers are needed to help set up and sell before the shows and during intermissions.  It really is a lot of fun and volunteers can still see the show!  See Danica Misz, Leslie Kim, or Mrs. McGregor for more information. NHS will be shopping for Holiday Child Sunday, December 4 at 1:00PM at Target. The fall blood drive was a tremendous success!  South set a new record, receiving 90 units of blood.  The next blood drive will be on February 16. NHS has two upcoming bake sales on Saturday, November 5 and Saturday, November 12 at the performances of The Music Man to raise money for Holiday Child.  Students whose last names begin with A-L are asked to contribute food items for the November 5 sale, and M-Z for the November 12 sale.
