Online Grades by Department

We've upgraded gradebook programs from "Easy Grade Pro"
to "Skyward Educator Access + Secondary Gradebook" beginning with the new trimester. The new gradebook software allows us to communicate assignment and grade information in real time via the internet.

Parents and students can access assignment and grade information from the new gradebook using a companion software program called
"Skyward Family and Student Access" that retrieves data from the teachers' gradebooks.

For parents who already have a Family Access account, you may have already noticed that when you log into Family Access, the calendar is populated with assignment information from your students classes. To View Progress Reports, click on the Grades link, then click on the blue hyperlinked letter grade to view the assignments and scores that make up that grade.

Note that we will no longer be posting progress reports on this Online Grades webpage.

For parents who do not yet have a Family Access account, please come down to the Bloomington South office to sign up for an account. Due to federal privacy laws we need to see your drivers' license in order to issue you an account.

Advantages of Family Access:

• One login grants you access to term grades, progress reports, attendance details, food service and book fee information.
• View detailed assignment and grade information for each of your student's classes with a single login.
• Parents with more than one student at South can view sibling information with a single login.
• Progress is reported by teachers more frequently since the information is posted as soon as assignments and/or scores are entered into the system.

The old system was much less efficient because parents and students had to login separately to each class. It was also less secure because parents and students had to share a username and password.

The new system works best when everyone logs in as themselves. Parents have access to more information than students. Therefore, please do not log in as your student.

Teachers are still learning so please be patient with our teachers. We have had this new software for only a few weeks.
