We are thrilled to announce that after a ten-year hiatus, we will reunite for our 35th Class Reunion! The Reunion Party will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2006 from 8 p.m.-midnight. In addition, there will be other festivities offered, beginning on Friday evening, October 20th and during the day on Saturday, leading up to the Reunion Party Saturday night. If you have never attended one of our class reunions, please say, “Yes!” to this one. All of our reunions have been wonderful and this 35th one is shaping up to be our best yet. It is never too late to join in the fun—reconnect with old friends and simply indulge in a lighthearted evening of good food and fellowship.
By the way, “B-town” is a bustling little metropolis brimming with energy and surrounded by natural beauty. If you haven’t been to Bloomington in recent years, you’ll be surprised by the significant growth. Come and rediscover your hometown amidst the canopy of fall foliage. Let’s begin with some important facts that you’ll want to make note of:
· The Class of 1971 has its own email address for all correspondence: bhs71@comcast.net Please add this address to your “Contacts” and use it to send all contact and other pertinent classmate information. This is how we keep our classmate database as up-to-date as possible. Information may be submitted at any time.
· The 35th Reunion Registration Form is available as a PDF file. On our Home page, click on “Registration Form” and print out the form. Fill it out, attach your payment, and mail it to us. It’s just that easy! We are trying to move towards less paper in the future. Thanks for using the web!
· We are creating a DVD of the Class of 1971 that will be available for purchase for $15. The DVD, set to music of the era, will include pictures from our high school days, previous class reunions, and will feature pictures taken throughout the 35th reunion weekend. We are asking you to PLEASE SEND US YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS that you would like to see included in the DVD. See the Photo Gallery page.
· While we’re on the subject of photos, there will be a Class of 1971 group photo taken on Saturday morning at the school. We hope that as many of you as possible will be on hand to be a part of this photo shoot!
· Once we’re within a 1-month countdown to our reunion weekend, we’ll try to post the names (only) of classmates who have registered to attend. Check out who’s coming and make sure that you and your friends aren’t left out!
· Wine served at the Reunion Party on Saturday night is from the Brown County Winery—owned and operated by our very own classmate, David Schrodt and his wife, Cynthia! Visit www.browncountywinery.com for more information.
· If you absolutely cannot arrange to be with us in Bloomington for the 35th Class Reunion, we encourage you to send us a letter about yourself—where you are and what you’re doing, as well as any pictures you care to include. These letters and photos will be shared with your classmates at the Reunion Party on Saturday night.
