A Greeting from Your BHS Class of 1960

Believe it or not, it’s time to make plans to attend the 50th class reunion for the Class of 1960!!  Can you believe it?
We hope you will plan to be in BLOOMINGTON the weekend of JUNE 10 –13 to help us celebrate.  What a better way to celebrate all those memories you have of Ole’ BHS than a return trip home.  So. . .mark your calendar NOW to join us

Reunion Activities__________________________________

Your 50th Class Reunion committee has been hard at work (and having lots of fun) planning events for the reunion weekend of June 10, 2010.  As we are still in the planning stage, we need your input!  So far this is what we have:

• Thursday, June 10, We’d like to have a “kick-off” evening and are open to suggestions.  Any good ideas?
• Friday, June 11, at 6:00 p.m., Frank and Joann (Richardson) Calabrese have offered to host a pool party.  Time, food, cost yet to be determined.
• Saturday, June 12, golf at Cascades Golf Course (Early morning tee times to be arranged by George Finley and Sharleen (Snapp) Myers after we receive registration forms which will be posted soon.)
• Saturday, June 12, lunch picnic at the Cascades Park Waterfall Shelter House (lower Cascades south).  This will be a bring your own basket.
• Saturday, June 12, is the big event; buffet dinner, entertainment and lots of visiting, at the Bloomington Convention Center (Third and College). Reception, cocktails at 6 p.m., dinner at 7:30 p.m.  (Cost yet to be determined) Class photo will be taken.
• Sunday, June 13, here again we need suggestions.  A good-bye breakfast can be planned if there is interest.  Any ideas?

Sponsor a Teacher:  We plan to invite all available B.H.S. teachers from the 50’s to the dinner on Saturday evening.  There will be a place on the forth-coming registration form for you to check if you would like to sponsor a teacher for the dinner.

Memorabilia will be needed for a DVD, displays and a directory.  Please start cleaning out the “old stuff” and save it for us.

For those of you interested in overnight accommodations, we are working with the Marriot hotel next to the Convention Center for a group rate.
