Reunion Activities
January 12, 2009
Dear members of the great Class of 1959,
Your 50th Class Reunion committee has been hard at work (and having a great time) planning events for the reunion weekend of July 25, 2009. We hope you all have marked your calendar and plan to attend. We promise a good time and fun activities for all. There is a registration form (.pdf) for the following activities. Please return the form by June 1, 2009.
- Thursday, July 23rd, Chuck Jean has invited the class to his home (3801 Mabel's Way) at 7 p.m. for a very casual "Pizzaria pizza and beer" evening.
- On Friday, July 24th, at 6 p.m., Phil Sperry (widower of Bonnie Blakely Sperry) has graciously invited the class to his home (1303 E. Matlock Rd.) for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
- Saturday, July 25th, golf at Cascades Golf Course (Early morning tee times to be arranged by Jerry Steele after registration forms are received.)
- Saturday, July 25th, lunch picnic at the Upper Cascades shelter (Lion's Den) at 1 p.m.
- Saturday, July 25th, is the big (casual, no tie) event, buffet dinner, entertainment and lots of visiting, at Chapman's Banquet Center (East Third St. at Rte. 446). Reception at 6 p.m., dinner at 7:30 p.m. Class photo taken at 7 p.m.
- Sunday, July 26th, Evelyn Whaley LaFollette will host a farewell brunch at her home (875 Woodscrest Dr.) at 10 a.m.

It's a jam packed weekend with lots of time to enjoy each other's company and get reacquainted.
Sponsor a Teacher: We plan to invite all available B.H.S. teachers from the 50's to the dinner on Saturday evening. If you are able to sponsor a teacher by paying for their meal ($40.00) it would be appreciated. Just mark the space on the registration form. Thank you!
Memorabilia is needed for a DVD, displays and a directory. Please email or mail any 1950's photos of activities and current ones of yourself, to Barbara Godsey Prince, 4655 W. Harvest Lane, Bloomington, IN 47404, princejerrylee @ yahoo . com. Also, let her know if you have items (senior cords, programs, photos, etc.) to bring along for displays.
For those of you interested in overnight accommodations, Century Suites (at Chapman's site), 812-336-7777, has one bedroom suites for $125-$160/per night. Across Third Street from Chapman's, Summerhouse Inn (4501 E. Third St.), 812-332-2141, has rooms starting at $84./per night with no two night minimum. Reservations are requested at Summerhouse at least two (2) months in advance so make your reservations early.
